The 48 Hour Film Project's New York edition: at the Kickoff you draw a genre, then write, shoot, and edit a short film in a single weekend. Films premiere on the big screen, with an awards ceremony to follow. - Filmmaking weekend: August 7–9, 2026 - Premiere screenings: August 25, 2026, 7:00 PM - Awards ceremony: August 30, 2026, 7:00 PM - Entry: $158/team early bird (through July 14), $178 regular (through July 28), $198 late (through August 7) Kickoff is at Solas Bar (232 E 9th St) in the East Village on Fri, Aug 7 at 5:00 PM.
